Emmy Awards last night…It’s television’s biggest night… And also another award show that seems to get fewer and fewer viewers every year.  Cedric the Entertainer hosted, and open the show with A cover of the late Biz Markie’s “You Got What I Need” with guest rappers LL Cool J, Lil Dickie, and Rita Wilson…

In numbers, Netflix drama “‘the Crown” won the most, with 11 Emmys, while Hulu comedy “Ted Lasso” won 7.  Netflix tied the record for most wins by a single programmer with 44.

Individual winners include Kate Winslet for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series for “Mare of Easttown.” She was delightful in her acceptance speech.

Evan Peters won for “Mare” as well.  It was his first win at the Emmys after doing some pretty incredible work for years in Hollywood.

Here’s Josh O’Connor excepting outstanding  lead actor in a drama for his role as Prince Charles in “The Crown.”

Hewre is Jason Sudeikis winning Outstanding lead actor in a comedy for "Ted Lasso."

Adele doesn’t post on Instagram often…but when she does, it usually makes a splash.  Yesterday he put up an Instagram official pic of her and new man Rich Paul.  Rich is a high profile sports agent, whose clients include Lebron James and Lakers star Anthony Davis, whose wedding he and Adele were attending.  That’s where these pics were taken.

Chris Rock came out on Twitter last night in a brief statement and said he has COVID-19 and encouraged everyone to get vaccinated.  It was likely a breakthrough case, as he’s talked about being vaccinated in May.

Today’s bizarre viral video comes from the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, where Olivia Rodrigo was singing her slow emotional hit “Drivers License” while two girls in the audience couldn’t stop pounding each other with their fists.
