Expo 2020 Dubai has issued a statement cautioning visitors against buying tickets for the Coldplay concert due to take place on February 15.

Free tickets to the event, which will be staged at the Al Wasl Dome on Tuesday, are allegedly being sold on different websites.

In a statement issued on their official social media account, Expo 2020 Dubai said that each ticket has a unique QR code that can only be used once.

The original purchaser may distribute more than one copy of the same ticket, thus leading to fraudulent sales.

Tickets are required for entry to the show and are currently fully booked after they were offered for free on the official website of Expo 2020 Dubai on Saturday night.

Organisers have also apologised to individuals who were unable to book tickets due to the technical issues that affected the page, after more than half a million people attempted to access the website that evening.

The concert will also be live streamed globally on www.virtualexpodubai.com, and available to watch across multiple channels, including Expo on YouTube, Facebook, TikTok and Oculus (VR). Several TV channels will also live broadcast the show.
