UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan co-chaired the first meeting of the UAE–Turkey High-Level Strategic Council in Ankara, during His Highness’s state visit.

The leaders discussed expanding cooperation across key sectors including trade, technology, energy and food security—aligned with shared national priorities.

Talks also highlighted the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, which has further strengthened bilateral ties.

Erdoğan welcomed the visit as a major step in strengthening bilateral ties, while both sides reaffirmed their commitment to regional peace and stability.

The talks also addressed developments in the Middle East, with both leaders stressing the importance of diplomacy and dialogue in resolving global challenges.

Sheikh Mohamed highlighted the strength of UAE–Turkey relations, built on mutual respect and a shared vision for growth and prosperity. He called the new council a milestone platform for strategic dialogue.

Erdoğan later hosted a luncheon in honour of the UAE President and his delegation.
