The UAE has sent an aid plane containing seven metric tonnes of medical supplies to South Africa.
According to national news agency WAM, the items will assist around 7,000 medical professionals working towards containing the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
The move comes as part of the UAE’s ongoing efforts to assist other nations in their counter-coronavirus campaigns.
To date, the UAE has provided 260 tonnes of medical aid to 24 countries in-need and supported more than 260,000 healthcare professionals throughout process.
