UAE rescue team intensifies fight against Albania wildfires

The UAE rescue team is continuing its firefighting efforts in Albania, where wildfires have swept across several regions.

Since arriving, they have conducted 27 aerial missions using Black Hawk helicopters, dropping over 1,260 tonnes of water on fire hotspots.

The operations are being carried out in close coordination with Albanian authorities. The team is also working on long-term plans to prevent flare-ups and accelerate response efforts.

These missions follow the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to international humanitarian support.
