President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent his condolences to His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan, over the passing of former Prime Minister Zaid Samir al-Rifai.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, dispatched similar cables of condolences to the Jordanian King.
The UAE and Jordan have had historical relations on the grounds of constructive and continuous cooperation, being one of the first countries to recognize the UAE's union.
