His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, has announced the 2020 UAE Pioneers Award.
The award will honour individuals, institutions and initiatives that contribute to making the UAE a role model in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The residents can nominate exceptional individuals and projects with the #UAE_Pioneers on Twitter.

Thanking frontline heroes, His Highness said the UAE represents a shining model of the collaborative effort, as healthcare personnel, civil security officers, teachers and humanitarian workers worked tirelessly to guarantee the safety and wellbeing of the society during hard times.
First launched in 2014, the UAE Pioneers is organised annually as a part of the country’s National Day Celebrations.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum called on members of the society to nominate exceptional individuals and projects that catalysed UAE’s success in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. The nomination campaign will be on the hashtag #UAE_Pioneers.
