UAE flying taxi air corridors to be confirmed within two years

Air corridor mapping and creating a regulatory framework for the UAE's flying taxis and cargo drones have begun, according to the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).

The aerial routes and regulations are set to be defined within the next two years.

These air corridors will connect key international airports and landmarks within the UAE, the GCAA said.

The authority is working in partnership with Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC) entities—Technology Innovation Institute (TII) and ASPIRE on the project to redefine airspace regulations.

The new air corridors will offer passenger and transport solutions, improving connectivity while reducing the burden placed on road networks.
