The UAE continues to air drop critical aid into Gaza in cooperation with Jordan, taking the total aid delivered by air to more than 3,800 tonnes of food and relief supplies.
It's the 61st airdrop under the 'Birds of Goodness' initiative and part of the broader 'Operation Chivalrous Knight 3' to reach isolated areas cut off from land access due to ongoing security challenges.
The aid deliveries comes after a global hunger monitor warned that a famine scenario was unfolding in the Gaza Strip, with malnutrition soaring and humanitarian access severely restricted.
The UAE also facilitated the entry of 20 trucks carrying food aid into Gaza on Sunday.
The efforts are part of the UAE’s continued humanitarian response to support the most affected and the vulnerable in Gaza.
