The UAE Presidential Court has confirmed that Wednesday, February 18, will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.
The moon-sighting committee, which met in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday evening, announced the sighting of the crescent moon.
In its statement, the Presidential Court extended greetings to the UAE's leaders, Crown Princes, Deputy Rulers, the people of the UAE, and Muslims around the world.
The statement concluded with prayers for blessings, prosperity and joy for the nation during the holy month.
