UAE condemns Israel's publication of map claiming Arab areas

WAM

The UAE has strongly condemned the publication of an alleged "historic Israel" map by official accounts linked to the Israeli government, which includes parts of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.

The UAE considers this move a deliberate attempt to expand the occupation and a clear violation of international law.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the UAE’s firm rejection of actions aimed at altering the legal status of the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

The Ministry warned that such measures, which contradict international resolutions, threaten to escalate tensions and hinder efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.

It also emphasized the importance of supporting both regional and international efforts to advance the Middle East peace process, stressing the need to end illegal practices that undermine the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

Furthermore, the UAE called on the United Nations and the UN Security Council to fulfill their responsibilities in enhancing peace and security by addressing longstanding conflicts in the region.
