Emirates Airline and flydubai have temporarily suspended flights to the Sudanese capital of Khartoum after violent clashes erupted between the army and Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
In a statement posted on their official website, Emirates said "all flights to/from Khartoum (EK733/EK734) are cancelled" until April 25.
Flydubai also suspended its services for the same dates.
Those affected by the decision are advised to contact their booking agents for "alternative travel arrangements".
"We will continue to closely monitor the situation," a flydubai spokesperson said, with Emirates confirming that "updates" will be "published in due course".
