The UAE air defence systems has countered 9 ballistic missiles and 33 drones on Saturday, according to figures released by the Ministry of Defence.
Since the start of Iran's attacks, UAE air defences have dealt with 294 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,600 drones.
These attacks have resulted in six deaths, involving nationals of the UAE, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh, according to the ministry.
A further 144 people were injured, with those affected including nationals from the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Comoros, Turkey, Iraq, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Ghana, Indonesia and Sweden.
The Ministry of Defence said the armed forces remain on high alert and are prepared to respond to any threats targeting the country’s security and stability.
