Sharjah City Municipality has announced the temporary closure of all public parks and medical fitness centres to ensure the safety of visitors and staff due to the unstable weather conditions.
The municipality said the closure will continue until the weather stabilises, calling on the public to comply with the instructions and stay away from open places and areas that may be affected by the weather.
They have also stressed the importance of following weather updates from official sources to ensure public safety.
Sharjah City Municipality said a fully integrated workforce of 1,200 personnel, including engineers, technicians, inspectors and support staff, have been deployed. Additionally, the authority has also mobilised a large fleet of equipment, including 180 water tankers and 140 high-capacity pumps to handle water accumulation.
In addition, six advanced dam vehicles have been deployed, alongside 20 recovery vehicles to tow stalled cars from roads.
