Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque has been ranked third among the top-ten landmarks in the world.
The list has been announced as part of TripAdvisor’s ‘Travellers Choice Awards’ that recognised over 750 attractions across 68 countries this year.
The travel platform used an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews by visitors over the last 12 months.
It described the mosque as 'by far the youngest world landmark' in the top-ten list.
The Angkor Wat temple complex in Cambodia took the top spot, followed by Spain's Plaza de Espana.
