UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss the ongoing conflict with Ukraine.
During a call on Monday, Putin expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Mohamed for the UAE’s successful mediation efforts regarding the recent prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia.
Sheikh Mohamed reiterated the UAE's firm commitment to fostering peace and stability, advocating for dialogue and diplomacy in conflict resolution, and also emphasised the UAE's dedication to backing all efforts aimed at alleviating the humanitarian consequences of the Ukraine crisis.
The leaders also discussed bilateral relations and opportunities to further strengthen UAE-Russia ties.
