More than 275,000 Indian citizens in the UAE have flown back home since the start of India's repatriation programme in May.
That's according to the Indian consulate in Dubai which said over 500,000 people had registered on its website after the 'Vande Bharat' Mission was first announced.
It added that plenty of seats are still available on Air India and Air India Express flights operating from Dubai and Sharjah to various destinations until August 15.
In addition to these special services, some UAE and Indian carriers have also planned almost 100 additional flights.
The diplomatic mission also reiterated that visitors whose visas expired after March 1 must leave the UAE before August 10 to avoid fines.
