New leaders named at key Dubai Government entities

Several new appointments have been announced in key Dubai Government entities.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence  Minister, said new leaders have been appointed at institutions overseeing health, housing, real estate, civic affairs and law enforcement.

This comes following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

  • Dr. Alawi Alsheikh Ali has been appointed as Director General of the Dubai Health Authority, with Sheikh Hamdan extending his appreciation to Awad Al Ketbi for his dedicated service during his tenure.
  • Eng. Marwan bin Ghalita has been confirmed as Director General of Dubai Municipality, following his service in an interim capacity.
  • Omar Bushahab has been named Director General of the Dubai Land Department and Chairman of the Board of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment, with Mohammed Al Shehhi appointed Acting CEO of the Housing Establishment.
  • In Dubai Police leadership, Major General Harib Mohammed Al Shamsi has been appointed Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Affairs, and Major General Ahmed Zaal Al Muhairi Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Administrative Affairs.

Sheikh Hamdan extended his best wishes to the newly appointed officials, expressing confidence in their ability to support Dubai’s strategic goals and future vision.
