Five people have been injured after a massive fire broke out in an oil factory in Ajman's new industrial area on Friday morning.
Four of the injuries are "moderate and one minor", Ajman Police confirmed, adding that they have been moved to Sheikh Khalifa hospital for treatment.
Officials said the blaze, which was reported at 3:15 am, also spread to a residential building, a printing house, warehouses, 9 shops and 39 parked cars.
Initial investigations revealed that the cause of the fire was an oil leakage in the factory.
The fire was brought under control by teams of firefighters from Ajman, Dubai, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain.
Cooling operations are currently underway, and the site has been handed over to the Ajman Police for further investigation.
