Dubai Municipality announced on Sunday it is set to open 35 parks in 2026 as part of its long-term urban development strategy.

The projects, with a combined cost of AED348 million, will add around 340,000 square metres of green space across 23 residential communities.

The parks are part of the Dubai Urban Plan 2040, which aims to expand public spaces and improve quality of life through increased access to greenery.

The locations have been selected to ensure residents can reach the parks within a five-minute walk from surrounding neighbourhoods.

The initiative is part of wider efforts to increase green areas across the emirate and support environmental sustainability.
