Dubai rider caught speeding at 290kmph, filming dangerous stunts

Dubai Police

Dubai Police has summoned a rider and impounded his bike for a release fee of AED50,000 after he posted videos online of his dangerous stunts while speeding at 290kmph.

The video, posted by Dubai Police on its official social media channels, shows the rider weaving recklessly between vehicles and doing stunts on one wheel.

Specialist traffic patrols identified and apprehended the rider after the footage surfaced online.

The rider faces legal action, with his case referred to higher authorities.

Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Acting Director of the General Department of Traffic, said the rider put his life and those of other road users at serious risk with his speeding and sudden swerves.

“The road is not a place for stunts or speed tests,” he said, urging all motorcyclists to comply with traffic laws and ride responsibly.
