Three women have been arrested in Dubai for performing unlicensed cosmetic procedures in a residential apartment and endangering the lives of people and violating the country's medical laws.

The Anti-Economic Crime Department made the arrests in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).

Dubai Police said officers raided the apartment following a tip-off and seized the equipment and medicines used for the procedures.

The women have been referred to the Public Prosecution for legal action.

Dubai Police urged the public to visit licensed cosmetic service providers and refrain from being swayed by misleading offers that could put their lives at risk.

The authority also urged them to report such illegal activities via the "Police Eye" service or the 901 call centre.
