A total of 1,244 flights have been cancelled and 41 flights diverted at Dubai International (DXB) after record rains flooded the runway on Tuesday.
In a statement sent to ARN News, Dubai Airports spokesperson confirmed that "check-in at Dubai International (DXB) has reopened for Emirates and flydubai flights operating out of Terminal 3".
Due to the "high volume of guests in Terminal 3 check-in area", travellers are advised to head to Terminal 3 "only if they have received a confirmation from their airline regarding their flight departure".
DXB added that they are "working to process passengers as quickly as possible and get everyone travelling to their destination".
Travellers are advised to "contact their airline for the latest information on flight status".
