Abu Dhabi Police urges parents to ensure children use e-scooters safely

Abu Dhabi Police has urged parents to make sure children follow safety rules when using e-scooters and electric bicycles.

Police warned against riding on main roads, weaving between vehicles or using them in crowded areas, saying misuse can lead to accidents and injuries.

Riders should use designated paths and wear appropriate protective equipment, including helmets and knee and elbow pads.

Parents have been asked to supervise children using e-scooters, ensure they have the correct safety equipment and make them aware of the risks of unsafe riding.

Abu Dhabi Police also reminded riders to respect other road users and said the safe use of e-scooters and electric bicycles is a shared responsibility.
