Saudi Arabia's air defences intercepted and destroyed a drone from the Houthis targeting the Mecca region on Friday morning.
The incident was announced by official spokesperson for the Saudi Coalition Major General Turki Al-Malki in a statement reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Al Malki also stated that a cruise missile launched by the Houthis had been intercepted and destroyed in the western region in the early hours.
It comes as The General Directorate of Civil Defense stated that a citizen sustained minor injuries on Thursday when debris from two ballistic missiles launched by the Houthis fell in Riyadh after they were intercepted and destroyed.
SPA reported that the debris also damaged a house and a vehicle, and the directorate's teams responded to the incident and followed standard procedures.
