ANWAR AMRO / AFP

Anti-government protests in Lebanon turned violent for a second night, leaving 11 people injured.

Video footage showed people setting fire to roadways and clashing with security forces in central Beirut and the northern city of Tripoli.

Thousands of people took to the streets over the government's handling of a deepening economic crisis.

On Friday, the Lebanese pound appeared to halt its slide as the government promised to inject dollars into the market to bolster the currency.
