P Diddy facing over 100 new assault charges

Over 100 people will sue rapper P Diddy over sexual assault and exploitation, according to a lawyer in the United States.

Tony Buzbee, a Texas-based lawyer, said that some of the alleged victims were children, some as young as nine years old.

"This is an important matter that we intend to aggressively pursue," Mr Buzbee told the press while speaking at a news conference on Tuesday.

He went on to say his team “will leave no stone unturned to find potentially liable parties” in the alleged abuse, or “any individual or entity who participated in or benefited from this egregious behaviour”.

Buzbee claimed that over the 120 victims he is representing half are male and half are female and 25 of the alleged victims were minors.

P Diddy, real name Sean Combs, "emphatically and categorically" denies the allegations, saying they are "false and defamatory", according to his lawyer Erica Wolff.

Combs is facing criminal charges of trafficking and racketeering and is currently in federal custody having been denied bail - which he is appealing.

He had denied any wrongdoing.
