Celebrated singer Adele returned to Instagram to mark her 32nd birthday, with a special message for frontline health workers as they battle COVID-19.

"I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels," she wrote on her official Instagram page, alongside an image of her standing near a circular sculpture adorned with flowers.

She also thanked her fans for the "birthday love" and expressed hope that they were all "staying safe and sane during this crazy time".

This is her first post since Christmas and began trending worldwide over comments on her weight loss.
