Uber has removed its self-driving cars from the streets of San Francisco. Authorities threatened legal action if Uber didn't get special permits for the cars. But Uber said its cars didn’t need permits as a driver and technician were in the car in case of any issues, but the Department of Motor Vehicles insisted on the permits.
