Roblox is making a significant push into the Middle East by introducing Arabic-language support, aimed at making the popular gaming platform more accessible to millions of users in the region.

The announcement was made during the World Governments Summit, being held in Dubai, as part of Roblox’s broader global expansion strategy.

Roblox CEO, David Baszucki, spoke to the ARN News Centre about the initiative, and emphasised the company’s mission to bridge cultural and linguistic gaps.

Beyond accessibility, Roblox is also focusing on local content creation, digital entrepreneurship and allowing users to always be learning.

Roblox currently has 85.3 million daily active users on the platform, clocking 18.7 billion engagement hours, 2.8 million developers globally, and six million active experiences.

The ARN News Centre asked Baszucki what advice he could give to the future of governance.

With its expansion into the Middle East, Roblox continues to cement its role as a leader in the digital economy and interactive online experiences.

Users can access the platform from the age of 13, having the opportunity to tap into creative interests and develop talents. Baszucki highlighted the importance of having fun but educational spaces.

"Prior to Roblox I had started another company that was an educational software company and there was one thing that we always wanted, we thought if we can build education into a consumer platform that has tens and tens of millions of people there will be a lot of learning especially if it could be free so that was part of the dream of Roblox".
