Indian investors top list of new firms joining Dubai Chamber

Indian-owned businesses are continuing to lead the list of non-Emirati entities joining the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.

In the first nine months of 2024, a total of 12,142 new Indian firms registered. Pakistan came in second place with 6,061 new companies, while Egypt (3,611), Syria (2,062) and the UK (1,886) round out the top five spots.

Other countries in the top ten include Bangladesh, Iraq, China, Jordan and Sudan, with each contributing over 1,000 new companies to the chamber’s growing membership.

Sector-wise, trade and services led the way, accounting for more than 41% of new members, followed by real estate and business services at 33.3%.

The construction sector came in third at 10.4%, while transport, storage and communications secured fourth place at 8.6%.
