Dubai’s media strategy is entering a new phase, with a stronger focus on competitiveness, innovation and strengthening the emirate’s position as a global hub for content creation and business media.

The Dubai Media Council, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, has approved the launch of a new platform called 'Dubai Business'.

The initiative, under Dubai Media Incorporated, will showcase Dubai’s economic story to global audiences and highlight investment opportunities across key sectors, in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.

The platform will deliver data-driven economic content, offering analysis and insights into sectors including finance, technology, artificial intelligence, aviation, logistics and real estate.

Sheikh Ahmed said Dubai needs a media platform that reflects its rapid growth and communicates its achievements to the world with accurate and in-depth reporting.

The Council also reviewed plans for a 'Gaming Retreat' taking place next week, which will bring together local and international companies to explore opportunities in the fast-growing gaming industry.

Officials say Dubai is working to build a strong, future-ready media and digital ecosystem that supports economic growth, attracts investment and strengthens its global competitiveness.

The meeting also discussed the outcomes of the recent 'Media Retreat', which brought together leading figures and decision-makers across advertising and marketing, film, gaming and digital media.

The gathering discussed ways to enhance key growth drivers including infrastructure, talent development, regulation, innovation and investment.
