The UAE has unveiled a new initiative to help factories adopt advanced technology and become more competitive.
The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology has launched 'Factory Forward UAE', bringing the country’s industrial technology transformation programmes together under one platform.
The initiative will help manufacturers identify the technologies they need, improve their operations and adopt Fourth Industrial Revolution tools, including artificial intelligence.
It will also connect factories with technical experts, technology providers, training and support programmes, as well as financing opportunities.
Factory Forward UAE brings together programmes that have already supported more than 700 factories, including more than 620 assessed through the Industrial Technology Transformation Index.
The ministry says the initiative will help manufacturers improve productivity, strengthen supply chains, expand into local and international markets, and support the growth of high-value industries in the UAE.
Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, said the initiative builds on the UAE’s efforts to create a competitive, technology-driven industrial sector and attract further investment.
He added that the ministry will continue working with its partners to help more factories adopt advanced technologies and increase productivity and efficiency.
Factory Forward UAE is supported by public and private-sector partners, providing manufacturers with technology expertise, specialist advice, training and access to funding for technology projects.
