Air Arabia has recorded a net profit of AED 1 billion in 2019.

According to the MENA region's first and largest low-cost carrier, this is an 80 per cent increase in comparison to the net profit registered in 2018.

Last year was a record year of profitability for the airline as it witnessed a turnover of AED4.71 billion 2019, a 15 per cent increase from the year before.

Air Arabia also served more than 12 million passengers from its four hubs in the UAE, Morocco and Egypt.

In 2019, the low-cost airliner received three new Airbus A321 neo LR airplanes, which brought its total fleet size to 55 aircraft, and added 16 new routes across its hubs.
