Legendary rock guitarist Eddie Van Halen has passed away at 65. He had been suffering from lung cancer for several years.  His son Wolfgang shared the sad news on social media, and his former wife and mother to Wolfgang, actress Valerie Bertinelli also posted a tribute.

Eddie formed the band Van Halen with his brother Alex in 1974.  The band is now the 19th best-selling music artist of all time, having sold 80 million albums worldwide.  Eddie’s shredding became legendary, and highly influential, but it almost didn’t happen.  As he says in this video, his brother Alex was supposed to be the guitar player in the group.

Morgan Wallen is the latest celeb to be criticized for not wearing a mask.  Wallen is set to appear as the musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend,  and they take COVID-19 safety pretty seriously.  Videos of the country star have been trending on twitter showing him out partying maskless (well he has a mask, but he’s not wearing it) and even giving another maskless female a smooch.  So far no comment from reps at SNL on whether or not Wallen will still be allowed to perform.

Nathan Apadoca posted a video just over a week ago of him skateboarding to the 1970’s Fleetwood Mac song “Dreams” while drinking some Ocean Spray cranberry juice.  The video got 50 million of views and spawned the “#doggfacechallenge.”  Nathan was having car troubles that day, which is why he was riding his longboard to work when he filmed the video.  So Ocean Spray decided to pay forward the unintentional product placement, and gave Nathan a brand new pickup truck.  Nathan currently lives in a small trailer, but things are looking up - many people have been donating money to a crowdfunding page, and soon he should be able to get an apartment with his daughter.

More film delays due to the coronavirus have been announced.  Jurassic World: Dominion has been pushed to June of 2022, a full year after it was supposed to premiere.  The film was one of the first to shut down in March due to the pandemic.  Director Colin Trevorrow made the announcement on Twitter.  Warner Bros has also pushed its “The Batman” reboot to spring of 2022, instead of October next year.
