Conchata Ferrell has passed away. She was best known for playing Berta, the housekeeper on "Two and a Half Men." She'd been having health problems since last year, and had a heart attack in July. She was 77. Conchata also appeared in lots of films over her long career, including "Edward Scissorhands" and "Erin Brockovich."
You think you've had a bad year? In a long Instagram post, James Van Der Beek just listed all the things that have happened to him since last year, leading him to move his family out of California. “In the last ten months, we’ve had two late-term pregnancy losses, each of which put [his wife Kimberly] in the hospital, we spent Christmas break thinking she had a tumor (the doctor was wrong, thank god), a business colleague I hired stabbed me in the back, I was prematurely booted off a reality dancing show I was favored to win in front of the whole world, and my mom died,” the actor wrote. Van Der Beek has moved to Texas, and is "overflowing with profound gratitude." Sometimes you just need a change of scenery, I guess.
Dr Dre's estranged wife is under investigation for embezzlement. Nicole Young is being accused of taking $385,000 out of a corporate account without permission. Her lawyer says she was allowed to take the money, because her name is on the account, and that this is just an attempt to smear her. It adds another layer to an already messy divorce, in which Nicole is seeking $2 million a month in temporary spousal support. They've been married for 24 years and have two grown children. Dre is worth around $1 billion, most of which was earned during their marriage.
Yesterday we talked about pictures of Lily James with married actor Dominic West being touristy and apparently romantic together in Rome. West, without his wedding ring, was stroking Lily's hair, giving her a kiss on the cheek, and perhaps worst, rinding an electric scooter together (the gall!). Yesterday Dominic and his wife Catherine had a kind of weird little press conference, coming in front of the press to show that everything is cool, leaving a handwritten letter stating "Our marriage is strong, and we are very much still together."
