There’s a rumor going around that says Jennifer Lopez and her retired Yankee baseball playing fiancé Alex Rodriguez are trying to buy the New York Mets baseball team. The team was up for sale last year, but a deal fell through after negotiations stalled, so we know the team is available. It was valued then at $2.6 billion - we hear Jennifer and Alex are worth about $700 million, so if this is true, they’re gonna need some heavy financial backing. The team is in need of some help - the Mets lost about $50 million last year.
More Jennifer Lopez news, she is being sued for $150,000 for posting a picture of herself on Instagram. The pic was put up on June 22, 2017. According to court documents photographer Steve Sands took the original image, and he's seeking an excess of $150,000 in damages for copyright infringement. The image has now been removed.
