The UAE Rescue Team is continuing its high-efficiency firefighting operations in Albania, tackling widespread wildfires across several regions.
So far, the team has carried out 21 aerial sorties using two Black Hawk helicopters, delivering 419 targeted water drops using 737,000 kg of water to contain the flames.
Despite extreme heat and tough terrain, the team is working in close coordination with Albanian authorities.
Operations began last Monday in the Gramsh forest area, following the directives of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Coordination meetings are ongoing to accelerate efforts and prevent the fires from reigniting.
