A campaign to bring warmth to the less fortunate over winter has received more than $1.9 million (nearly AED7 million) in donations so far.
The Warm Winter Initiative aims to collect $10 million for 100,000 displaced and refugee families suffering from winter cold in the Arab world and Africa.
At the end of day 3, the funds raised represent 47,000 separate donations and will help 15,000 families.
The initiative has been designed in partnership with Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, the UNHCR and the Regional Food Banks Network.
