The Ministry of Health and Prevention has treated a "very limited" number of cases that showed some symptoms of being affected by water contamination.

In a statement, the Ministry said that the patients were provided with treatment – ensuring their safety before being discharged.

Residents in affected areas are reminded to steer clear of rainwater and stagnant pools to avoid health risks, including mosquito-borne diseases.

The Ministry urged the public to rely on official sources for information and refrain from spreading rumors to avoid legal consequences.

The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure also confirmed they are taking immediate action to address power and water outages including coordinating specialised teams cleaning, disinfecting and ensuring the quality of water in affected tanks.
