A cabinet meeting, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Sunday approved a series of national strategies and international agreements, to strengthen the country's resilience and global position.

Posting on X, His Highness said the Cabinet praised the “high defensive spirit” of the armed forces and the sense of responsibility shown by citizens, residents and institutions across the country.

He said national institutions and defence forces were operating with “complete efficiency and professionalism”, while the private sector was continuing to respond to developments with responsibility.

Sheikh Mohammed also announced the adoption of a five-year strategy for the UAE’s space sector. He said the industry is now valued at more than AED44 billion, with over 170 organisations involved and 30 satellites launched to date.

The country is also continuing its space ambitions, with ongoing programmes for Emirati astronauts, a mission to Mars, and plans for a future mission to Venus and the asteroid belt.

During the meeting, the Cabinet also approved more than 120 international agreements and memoranda of understanding across sectors including energy, investment, diplomacy and humanitarian work.

A new strategy for integrative medicine was also adopted, aimed at combining traditional and modern approaches within a comprehensive healthcare system.

Sheikh Mohammed said the UAE’s development model remains based on competitiveness, flexibility and openness, adding that the country would “emerge stronger” following what he described as exceptional circumstances.
