His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed strengthening bilateral relations with his Venezuelan counterpart Felix Plasencia.
During a telephone call, the two ministers discussed the friendly relations, aspects of cooperation and joint work between the United Arab Emirates and Venezuela, and opportunities to develop them in various fields, in order to achieve their mutual interests.
They discussed the latest regional developments and exchanged views on a range of issues of mutual interest.
Sheikh Abdullah also congratulated Plasencia on his recent official appointment as Foreign Minister for Venezuela.
