UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has discussed the escalating security and military developments in the region during a phone call with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Wednesday
The leaders highlighted the serious repercussions on regional and international peace and security, national news agency Wam reported.
Both sides stressed the need for an immediate halt to the escalation and called for prioritising meaningful dialogue and diplomacy to address outstanding issues in the region in a way that preserves security and prevents further tension and crises.
The leaders had spoken on March 2, when they called for an immediate halt to the military escalation.
