Holders of expired visas will be exempt from residency-related fines until the end of this year.

The decision comes after His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, held the second UAE Cabinet meeting with ministers remotely.

In a series of Tweets, Sheikh Mohammed said that local factories and manufacturers have been instructed to provide the healthcare sector with any materials needed, as demand increases due to COVID-19 .

He also revealed that a new federal law on mental health has been adopted.

According to Sheikh Mohammed, new regulations for private medical facilities have been approved in order to maintain the quality of healthcare services in the country.

He concluded by saying that all entities in the UAE are working as one team to help the country overcome the challenging situation the whole world is currently going through due to the pandemic.
