Authorities in the UAE have recommended that travellers stick to countries in the Green List when planning their holidays abroad.
During the latest government media briefing, the spokesperson of NCEMA urged people to plan ahead and check the spread of COVID-19 infection at their destination before flying out.
They've also been advised to comply with precautionary measures as stipulated by the WHO and to get COVID-19 health cover.
Dr. Al Ameri also urged citizens to register with the “tawajudi” service when abroad as it helps UAE authorities to step in and offer support when necessary.
He stressed the importance of wearing masks and maintaining a safe social distance, even if the rules are relaxed in their destination country.
