In a call with President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Lebanon's Joseph Aoun expressed his gratitude for the decision to lift the travel ban for Emirati citizens.

The Lebanese President welcomed the policy change as a reflection of the UAE’s continued support for Lebanon and its people.

On Sunday, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Emirati citizens will be permitted to travel to Lebanon starting May 7, following the implementation of necessary precautionary measures.

As part of the new policy, travellers must register via the “Tawajudi” service, providing details such as their accommodation, purpose of visit, and expected return date. The Ministry stated that failure to comply with these requirements could result in legal consequences.

The two leaders also discussed the fraternal relationship between the UAE and Lebanon, expressing their shared desire to enhance cooperation across various sectors in ways that serve the mutual interests of both countries and their citizens.

The conversation reaffirmed both sides’ commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and promoting regional stability and prosperity.
