The UAE and Paraguay are looking to deepen their ties, following high-level talks in Abu Dhabi.
UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with his Paraguayan counterpart Santiago Peña at Qasr Al Shati, where the two leaders explored ways to boost cooperation across key sectors including trade, renewable energy, food security and climate action.
The meeting, held during Peña’s official visit to the UAE, reaffirmed both nations’ commitment to sustainable development and long-term prosperity.
Sheikh Mohamed highlighted the UAE’s growing engagement with Latin American countries, especially Paraguay, as part of a broader strategy to diversify economic partnerships and promote global progress.
The leaders also discussed regional and international developments, with a shared call for greater efforts to achieve peace and stability, particularly in the Middle East.
Peña expressed his gratitude for the UAE’s warm hospitality and praised the country’s impressive development and visionary leadership.
Senior officials from both nations attended the meeting, emphasising the importance of the growing partnership.
