Authorities in the UAE have unveiled a platform to help Emirati students choose the right academic and career paths, by tracking global trends, analysing skills’ gaps, and finding the right programme and job opportunities.

The 'UAE Skills Platform' is a joint collaboration between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, following the directive from the Education, Human Development and Community Development Council.

It will serve more than 200,000 students and 200 educational institutions, with over 1,700 future skills in development.

The platform will also directly connect labour market data with the education ecosystem through a unified, Al-powered model, and analyse in-demand skills and qualifications and forecasts future labour market trends.

It will enable government entities and educational institutions to make accurate, data-driven decisions.

An app version is also available on the App Store and Google Play under 'UAE Skills'.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Chairman of the Education, Human Development and Community Development Council, affirmed that human development is a fundamental pillar in advancing the country’s growth agenda.

Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the importance of aligning skills’ development with national investments in priority sectors to ensure the readiness of talent for the future economy and to strengthen the integration between economic and education policies.
