The National Anti-Narcotics Authority, in coordination with Ras Al Khaimah Police and other security agencies, has foiled a plan to promote and distribute narcotic substances inside the UAE.
Authorities arrested several suspects and seized large quantities of drugs and psychotropic substances before they could be circulated.
The operation began after information was received about drugs hidden at a location in one of the emirates.
Specialist teams carried out investigations and arrested two suspects while they were attempting to transport the narcotics.
Investigations revealed the suspects were acting under instructions from a ringleader based outside the country.
Further surveillance led to the arrest of 11 additional suspects linked to the network and involved in drug distribution within the UAE.
Follow-up operations across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ajman resulted in the arrest of 10 more suspects, along with additional drug seizures.
Authorities also discovered a separate storage site containing large quantities of marijuana, hash oil and synthetic cannabinoid materials.
All suspects and seized items have been referred to the relevant authorities for further legal action and analysis.
Officials say the operation highlights strong coordination between law enforcement agencies in combating organised drug trafficking networks.
