Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, chaired the second meeting of the G20 Steering Committee, which oversees the UAE’s participation in the 2024 G20.
Ministers and officials from various state agencies involved in G20 work groups attended the meeting, which was held via video conferencing.
Participants reviewed the UAE's ongoing involvement as a guest in the G20 and discussed the country's participation in upcoming ministerial meetings.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed praised the efforts of the parties concerned with representing the UAE in the G20, underscoring the importance of active participation in all aspects of the Group's work, reflecting the UAE's commitment to multilateral cooperation.
He reiterated the importance of teamwork and showcased the country's achievements in the context of its participation in the G20.
The UAE is participating in the G20 as a guest for the third consecutive year and the fifth time overall since the Group's founding.
